do you think that ground fighting is fading in MMA?
thats what my friends says. he says that standup fighters are adapting to ground fighters, while the ground fighters arent adapting to the standup fighters. he points to the development sprawl-and-brawl as proof of stand up fighters growing domination. hes been studying Muay Thai for about five years, and has earned a black belt in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, which he has been studying for over a decade. im not familiar with MMA, but does he have some valid points?
NO WAY ! There’s is lots of ground fighting in the MMA but
sometimes that is not a good thing because it can get very boring
after 2 or 3 mins. A lot of MMA fights go to the ground but not many
fighters choose to submit but rather use the ground-and-pound method
